E350 Rear Floor Duct

Coins have somehow slipped into the backseat floor duct, so every turn I hear them rattle. Can the air duct be easily removed or does the front passenger seat neeed to be removed to get to the air duct? Help.

can you get a shopvac and suck them out? Or take a paint stirrer or something that can fit in there with some doublesided tape on it and try to grab the coins?

Great thoughts. The duct may be too thin for a shopvac though. I'll definitely try the doubsided tape. Thank you.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Modify the shop vac and opening with tape, so that you are literally sucking with all of the force on the vent opening that is taped off. That should pull out your coins.

If you can get the shopvac nozzle go slight over the end of the vent, then you can cover the rest of the shopvac nozzle opening with a rag to create a seal. I do this all the time to vacuum out the AC condenser line for the house. It pulls out any buildup and excess water too. You could also use the cardboard insert in a paper towel roll as a nozzle in a pinch.

Even if you can't suck up the coin(s), you may be able to get them to the edge where you can grab them.
