HOLD feature on 2012 E350 P1

Is the HOLD feature only on W212 with distronic? I am not talking up/downhill Hold but the HOLD feature by pressing brake the second time after the vehicle comes to stop. Thanks.

I think that feature is on all W212, not just distronic. I still takes me a couple of tries to get it to work. The person in front of me at a stoplight must think I am going to hit them as I keep releasing and hitting the brakes.

I just ease my foot off the brake pedal and press again and it works for me. I don't see that you need to take your foot off completely. Just my two cents worth.

best feature I use it all the time. I don't let go just let a little pressure off and press down fully and it works perfectly

I just need to perfect my technique. I do ease off like you suggest but sometimes too far and the car starts to creep up.

you don't need to take your foot off at all. just push till the car stops, then push down a little more and it'll engage the hold feature

Thanks for all the tips. I had more success on the ride home. The key for me seems to be swiftly depressing the pedal again. Too slow and it doesn't work.

It's just like doing a quick jab punch with your foot on the brake, once you've come to a stop. Simply press the brake the whole way down, but not to slowly, it's a quick motion. One of the most useful functions of the car in my opinion, and I thoroughly appreciate how it puts the car in 1st gear when doing so.

I tried quite a few times with no success, therefore, I thought the HOLD feature is only with distronic. I will keep on trying then. Thanks.
