I built a delay and soft start circuit for my illuminated star. See the video. I wired it to the DRL. It kind of “announces” itself when I press the FOB. It will stay on with the DRLs. It was part of a DIY, I sent the circuit to china for production. When I get off the car, they stay lit as the DRLs stay lit for a minute after you leave the car, acting as courtesy lights.
I only needed one, the others you can get in ebay. Look for Illuminated Star Soft Start controller Mercedes LED They should work for the aftermarket stars.
