Rarely Driven W212 - Any Precautions?
Ever since I purchased my W212 Wagon (Feb 2014), I've only put about 1,700 miles on it. I don't use it as my daily driver and most often I only bring it out on the weekends. Even though very rare, it has gone a few weeks without being driven (probably 2 weeks at the most), however, I do try to drive it once a week even if it just around the neighborhood. Are there any precautions or suggested tasks I should consider with a vehicle that is driven so rarely? I did get the oil changed at 1,000 miles and am planning on having it changed every 5k miles (versus the recommended 10k).
It will one day become my daily driver (when my current car with 230k dies...hopefully that's not soon though).
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you are keeping up with the maintenance, but you can probably just get the annual services and not worry about 5k for oil. One year interval may only be 3-4k miles for you. You may want to consider a battery tender, but taking it out for a good spin (i.e. not just a short trip) once a week should ward any battery issues. Watch for tire dry rot after 4-5 years depending on the sun exposure your car gets.
