AMG 18's on the Cheap
Found a set of 18" AMG wheels off a 2011 E on Craigslist. Back tires were shot, 2 fronts were keepers (ContiProContacts). Of course, the heavy application of wheel weights told me they were likely bent.
Loaded them up in the wife's BMW E61 touring and took them to my local Discount Tire. They gave me full credit for the 4 tires I bought 3 months earlier (very cool) and used them for 2 new Michelin 265/35 R18's and wheel straightening services. Blah, blah, blah...I am on the road with 2 brand new and 2 very good used tires, all on 4 straight 18" AMG's for about $1000.
