After reading this article, I decided I will probably use Vvivid brand vinyl

The 3M is just way overpriced, and this says the Vvivid is easier to work with. Pretty inexpensive too.

I ordered a bunch of samples to decide on exactly which look I want to use. Ordered from:

Definitely time consuming but I am loving the outcome, will post pics once installed.

I decided to do this because I am still waiting for MB to call me to replace the faded wood in my car.

If you don’t mind me asking how long did it take you to do this? And was it difficult to remove the trim and install it back in? I’m looking to do the same exact thing and already have the carbon fiber material on hand but just want sure on how to remove the dash trim. I have a 2011 E550 that came with the wood trim as well. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
