Two Intermittent issues

In the last two days, my 2013 E350 4M P2 has had two nagging issues pop up:
1. Ever so often the transmission does not go into Park when the door is opened. This has happened mainly to my wife and the car has moved/rolled from where she opened the door.
2. The driver seat belt cannot be moved from where it stays when you release it. It stays up by the driver's left ear and cannot be moved. Again this happens mainly to my wife and I have been able to free it by moving it while standing outside the car. It would not move when I started attempting to free it but some motion caused it become useable again.

Any thoughts, opinions, or guesses are welcome.

When the car does not go to park does the dome light come on? Could be a simple door switch issue.

I can answer #1 question as I have also experienced same issue . Actually, it's not an issue because when you open the door , you should leave the tranny in D with your foot on the brake pedal (don't apply too much pressure as it switches on HOLD feature )
Otherwise, if you put it in N and open the door it would not engage in P with the door open or ajar

Strange,

If my gear selector is anything else than P and I open the door with engine OFF it will go to P including if the hold function is enabled. It does not go to P if the engine is running.

This sounds like the proper action. If it went into P with the engine running you wouldn't be able to go through a driverless automatic carwash.
