This is for the armrest/storage compartment between the seats......notice how the rubber is all deteriorating. Ideally I could just buy new rubber but I'm suspecting that's not an option?
The console lid assembly is one big piece (basically the cover to the console storage area both sides - pick your color) listing for $308 and discounted at parts.com it is $246. Often, these things go in pretty easily but you typically have to take stuff apart and put them back in a specific order (meaning that you can probably do it - I took a quick look for a youtube video but couldn't find anything). There are also a couple threads here on mbworld for this so try a quick search. Probably not what you want to hear considering all you really need is the $5 rubber gasket type thing on one side, but this is how they come. It is possible that there are other options that you might find from a good Mercedes independent shop, but the dealer is going to want to replace the whole damn thing - and charge you about the same amount for labor.

Another example of poor design or quality or both.
