Engine spooling when pedal is mostly down

Let's get a couple of things in order. First, this forum is a great website to check into on the daily and second, everyone's input is very well mannered(or polite). Now, every time I put the pedal down there's at least a 2 second delay before the gear catches; same with sport mode. My question does anyone have this issue and how did you go to solve it. Also when taking it off paddle shifting or sport mode the gears looks like it has trouble to down shift or gets stuck at the higher gear for a second or two.

Have you tried to reset the transmission control module adaptation?
