Purchase Advice Needed - W212 CPO
Our 2009 E350 CPO was just wrecked. It had AMG kit and P1 plus a couple of options. Insurance company will total the car.
My wife wants another M-B so I see a bunch of 2009-2013 CPO cars available in our market area (No. Calif.) for $18-38k.
Is there a compelling reason to avoid any particular model year(s) or options?
Conversely, is there a compelling reason to pay more money for a later model year or option?

the 2012 and newer will have the newer M276 engine which is more powerful plus more fuel efficient. You should be able to get a pretty well equipped 2012 for around $38k.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what I can do. Probably put me @ $46k+ with options we want (P02, Palladium paint) which is about $13k more than the 2012 we looked at last night...

Agree with 2012+
Just got my 2012 CPO, nicely equipped, with 15K miles for $34K in SoCal. Did the deal over the phone with Simonson, flew down, and drove home. Prices there much cheaper than here in Vegas. They presently have a 2013 with 18K miles for $34K with 2+ years left on the factory warranty plus the CPO extension. I don't like black or I'd have bought that one.

Hopefully this is enough to coverage to protect against future problems with the new GDI engine.

I will shop for Pre-paid Maintenance and Extended Warranties.

Bought on Friday, a 2013 CPO E350, 18,900 miles, P2, Lane assist, Parktronic, walnut burl wood trim, tenorite gray metallic, anthracite MB-Tex (which BTW looks like real leather, unlike the MB-Tex used in our defunct 2009), sport steering wheel, AMG body kit, wheels, suspension, split rear seats, bu camera, keyless-go, trunk spoiler, comfort tray in trunk, 115v receptacle. Probably left out some stuff. It was a 2-year lease return from a local owner. $37k and dealer has agreed to repair the scratches & gouges on the underside of the front bumper cover (typical on AMG bumper covers) and paint front & rear bumper covers. These were not bad enough to qualify for correction Under CPO but my wife is VERY fussy about HER car. I also bought the Wheel & Tire Insurance from the dealer because it can only be purchased in conjunction with the car purchase, but I did get a slight discount on that just by asking.

Nicely done!
