Iphone adapter?
Dumb question, I'm just not that savvy about these connectors unfortunately.
My car has this type of connector:
I've got a 5g Iphone that uses that little bitty connector (tech term) - my understanding is that I should be able to upload music from my phone to listen to over the radio.
I'm sure there's an adapter out there somewhere but I'm back in the dark ages and not sure what to look for.

That's exactly what I use with my iPhone5. It works as advertised - now my car simultaneously charges and plays while plugged in.
I also use an older iPod Nano 4g with the bigger old-school 30pin connector, but the Merc cable you pictured won't charge it while it plays. Therefore, I bought a Scosche adapter that allows for simultaneous charging and playing (it's a teeny little adapter along the same lines as Apple's lightning adapter pictured above).
