E550 vs E400 weight difference really 150kg?

Mercedes.ca says the weight difference is 140kg or 308lbs. Can two cylinders really add that much weight?

THE C350
The e550 would also have more standard options than the e400

Extra weight is primarily related to the 4Matic.

E 350
Other than the two cylinders may be the structure of engine is different.... I'm no expert but isn't V8 engine more complicated with more moving parts than a V6???

If you're comparing at mercedes-benz.ca the E550 here also has AIRMATIC standard.

2015 E250 BT 4M
actual curb weight for E250BT ?

I wonder about the accuracy of the figure given above for E250BT 4M. Both the 2013 E350BT RWD and 2014/15 E250BT 4Matic have been described as having the same curb weight by MB Canada, namely 1845 kg. or 4059 lbs. The E250BT is of course 4 Matic which should add at least 70 kg.

However, the E250BT 4 cylinder OM651 engine weighs 12kg less than the V6 - OM642, so the net difference in weight (70 kg less 12 kg) should be about 58 kg (or 128 lbs.) more than the E350BT. This calculation suggests that the actual curb weight of the E250BT 4M should be 1845+58 = 1903 kg or 4187 lbs. This figure is about 200 lbs. less than the curb weight stated by MBUSA.

Can anyone explain the significant difference between MB Canada's curb weight and MBUSA ? Perhaps the higher US figure includes the average driver and the Canadian figure excludes the driver ?

Apart from the above discrepancy in curb weights, my driving impression was that the E250BT 4M 'feels' lighter on its feet and more balanced than the E350BT RWD.
