auto-lights inoperative...any help?
Good morning everyone,
If someone can help me, I would appreciate it. I have a 2008 E550 that 2 days ago I had the front and rear brakes changed, the windshield replaced, and the passanger front window switch replaced.
This morning I now have the message Auto Lighti g Inoperative. I have not had a chance to check which if any lights are not working, but can someone chime in as far as:
Could rhe recent work have jostled something or the brake job affected the brake lights or sensors to cause this?
Anything else I can check on my own, or is it strictly a dealership doagnostic the only thing that will find the problem?
After just dropping 2k, I really dont want to visit them for a looong time..
Thank in advance,
Nick

My guess either rain/light sensor (located at windshield behind inside rear view mirror) is malfunctioning or possibly needs to be recoded using MB diagnosis due to windshield install. BTW you should be posting here https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211-20/
