How to Lower E350 Bluetec?
Does this have springs or air? If springs I assume the only option is aftermarket springs...
I see part sites hosting those coils for sure.. Bluetec is the same fittment as a 350 gas in the end... No reason you cant do the same physical mods to it.
If you decide to lower your car, I think you would have to change springs all round. Your car has the 'comfort suspension', so it is more prone to rebound than the 'sport suspension'. Lowering of the car could result in bottoming out; this is not hard to do when driving over speed bumps with the stock suspension.
It will be tough to find better looking 17" wheels than the ones already fitted to your car. You would have better luck looking @ 18" wheels. MBUSA offers several choices and of course there are many after-market ones. Try looking @ www.tirerack.com . Enter your car data and select wheels, then you can see illustrations of the wheels 'on the car'.
Enjoy your new Bluetec torque-monster !!!
I want to leave the height where it is, but i am interested to find some parts to bookmark in case i ever want to do it. Any recommendations ?
