2012 vs 2015 road noise
I replaced my 2012 e350 sport with a 2015 e350 sport a couple weeks ago. I love the new car but it seems to have quite a bit more road and wind noise. Anyone else notice this? Is this intentional and a byproduct of making it more "sporty" or something else? Any thoughts or ways to get it improved? Is this something the dealer would fix?

Could be different tire type/tread/style, tire pressure, suspension configuration ( lux/sport, i think this is independent of the 'sport' styling pack ).
Otherwise im certain your tires might just be so new you havent 'driven them down' yet. My bluetecs run flats were god awful for the first 1000 miles until i wore them down, and now theyre way better... almost forgot how badly i wanted the gone the first week, then they grew on me.

I would agree that tires likely are the culprit.
I notice a significant difference in cabin noise switching from my regular summer times to my winter setup (Blizzak's), which are much noisey...

Definitely tires... I just took delivery of my 2015 E350 Luxury late Monday night and had it fitted with Michelin MXM4's and laminated acoustical glass. No wind noise whatsoever, even at 75 mph. Road noise is acceptable, but I'm only at 200 miles. I'm probably going to add a bit of insulation to the wheel wells & floorboards.
Been driving the 2015 E350 and a 2011 S550 w/airmatic this week. It's been an interesting comparison. The S is quieter in the road noise area, but engine's louder.

My wife's previous 2013 E350 4M coupe with Michelin tires was extremely noisy. The new E400 4M W212 with Continental tires is very quiet as is my CLS400 4M with Continentals. Also the new 3.0L TT is a much quieter engine.
