2015 E400 Coupe Ordering Problem-NJ
Hey,
Has anyone tried ordering a E400 recently in the last two days. I am getting conflicting stories from dealerships. One is saying I can not order the 2015 e class coupe, production has stop. The 2016 e class coupe is in their ordering system but they can't order that one either. Any help is appreciated, has anyone experienced this before.

MB no longer building 2015 EClass after end of Feb. March starts 2016 models, the order bank is open but MSRP not yet available. See if your dealer can order for Feb build, then you will get a 2015. My dealer swapped a Feb allocation from another dealer to order my E250 and then gave the other dealer a March allocation in trade.
I called Mercedes corporate and they said they were unaware of the 2016 E Class being available for March. Did your dealer tell you this?

It's not available in March for delivery. Rather, the E's built starting in March are 2016 models. Delivery dates are unknown. It is not possible to order a 2015 for March build. Yes this came from my dealer. All 2015 models must be built by end of Feb. That's why they moved my build date from March to Feb.

I just re-read your original question. Production of 2015 models has not stopped, but it's possible your dealer has no more order slots in Jan and Feb. Unless they can trade allocations with another dealer, that would push you into a March build date and a 2016 model.

Ok, this new information is the same information I got from the dealer. The dealer told me that they didn't know when the 2016 e class coupes were coming in, but there is no model change, that was in their system. I was also told the plant in Germany is shut down in Jan for Holidays. My E400 coupe will go into production in Feb and I should have delivery by April. Thank you so much for your help!
