I just placed an order for a 2015 E250BT 4M with Feb 2015 build date. The dealer told me that the order bank is already open for 2016 models to be built in March 2015. I'm not sure if this is just for the E250 or if this affects all E-Class models. Considering that the 2015 was just released in the USA in November 2014, this seems like an exceptionally short run for the 2015 model year.

The 2016 models seem to have the same or very similar option packages. Palladium Silver is being replaced with some other silver name. It looks like this is still the W212.

I considered waiting an extra month for the 2016, but there was such a deep discount on the 2015 that I went ahead with the 2015. I usually keep cars a long time, so 2015 vs. 2016 will have little effect on resale value 10-12 years from now.

Has anyone else heard that the 2016 models will start production in March 2015? The early launch of 2016 models in 2015 could be setting up for the W213 launch in early 2016.
