Need a list of tools to change oil on 2012 E350
You can also remove oil from the top via the dipstick tube with a vacuum pump. This is how they do it at the dealer and how I do it. There are different pumps available from plastic to metal construction, most are hand operated meaning you create the vacuum with something that looks like a bicycle pump. I use one that runs off compressed air and saves my arms. Either way it is a neater way to get the oil out and stay out from under the car.
Finally, you need to replace the oil filter. On these cars it is top mounted and is a cartridge type with O rings. The new filters usually come with all the needed O rings, change them out each time.
I haven't done the oil on this car yet, only had it for a month or so, but here is a shot working on my old c230. I've also done a friends clk320 a couple of times as well, really no difference.
This is a link from a MercedesSource on Youtube showing the oil extraction, it has a followup video as well.

-I have a 10 qt oil change container that I pump the oil to.
-I use a good size funnel for getting the oil back in the engine.
-I use the same funnel to get used oil back to the bottles or 5 qt jugs.
-I buy 0W-40 oil from Walmart in 5 qt jugs for about $25.
-I buy filter cartridge from my dealer parts for about $16.
-I use a filter opener. Mine is a band type, which does not fit well. Should get a "wrench" type filter tool that fits the filter housing.
Remember to drive the car a good distance to heat the oil well before pumping it out so it all comes out.
With that said, I would like to know the type/brand of oil filter, the type of synthetic for winter and summer, and the type/brand of oil pumps that you use. I'm looking to that pump to change oil in other cars as well? Please send links or names! Thanks!!
Just get the whole kit here. 5W-40 should be good enough for year round protection.
Most of the work is undoing the under-body panels to access the oil drain plug.
I used a belt type oil filter wrench. Hope this helps
If you do want to use the pump then this will do the trick
