Window switch - black coating peeling

The plastic coating is peeling on both of the front window switches in the master switch in the driver's door. Has anyone tried these as an alternative to replacing the whole unit? If so how did they work out?

Switch in MBUSA MY10 212 & 207 is same part (2128208210) so they should fit.
