Trunk Lid Alignment tolerances
I downloaded the sheet for tolerances and the spec for the trunk lid to fender is 4mm plus or minus 1mm. My 2014 E 550 trunk lid is gapped wider than that on both sides and narrower on the right has anyone moved theirs to center it. My lid is 1/4 inch on one side and 3/16 on the other. It should be between 1/8 to 13/64 . Are the newer models allowed larger gaps.

Trunk lid adjustment sheet lists same dimensions as gap sheet I would have dealer check it. If they claim gaps are fine you now have an invoice documenting your concern and their attempt to repair, in case of a problem later on.

Thank you. None of the E class I see in my area have gaps on the trunk lid as small as 1/8 inch or 4mm. I am very happy with the car would like to fix this one issue . That is to say I would like to see it centered . The issue of being to wide on both sides is not repairable as I see it.
