Hitch!!! :) - or no Hitch :(
2014 E350 Looking for a rear hitch to carry two road bikes - towing not necessary. Have only found a few aftermarket, user installed hitches. Do not wish to use car roof for the bikes.
Any thoughts/compications on installing the aftermarket hitches - which require some drilling, etc. would be appreciated. Trunk mounted bike racks will not work due to MB tight seal around trunk lid - and do not wish scratches on the trunk lid.

You will find all kinds of hitch and wiring accessories for everything including the E Class. They even have a hitch for the Porsche Boxster which has the exhaust in the middle.
If they don't have it, then it probably doesn't exist.

I had UHaul do a custom hitch on my C63. Installing custom hitches on our cars can be super tricky. I had to have my hitch system removed because of rubbing on my exhaust. I reluctantly went with a roof rack system in order to save myself the expense of a new AMG exhaust after the hitch would eventually rub through the exhaust. Be very weary of people who tell you that it's possible. You may run into the same issues I ran into.
