Hi,

When is the VIN # issued when you ordered a car from Germany? I have a PO and VIN # but my production date was delayed by a month. Any thoughts...

Any thoughts on why the production date was pushed to April 17th if a VIN was assigned?

My guess is that it is in the system with that VIN and it will be applied once it enters the production sequence.

For what it's worth, I got my VIN about 6 weeks before my car went to B5 status ("Produced not shipped"). VIN was assigned on Dec. 11, even though my estimated production date was not until Jan. 29. The car ended up being produced Jan. 27.
