E550 - Front Bumper Scrapes - Body Shop??
Hi All,
I purchased an E550 with the sport AMG package which has quite a few front bumper scrapes underneath the lip. I know a lot of you say to ignore this, but I'm looking at some options for repair.
Can anyone recommend a good body shop in New York? I called a guy who mentioned about 650. I laughed and said ok thanks to that price. In my estimate, it should be around 300-350 bucks for a sand, fill, and paint.
I called around to a few other shops and they said I have to bring the car in for them to take a look, which does make sense of course.
I like how they ask what car it is so they can ring up the price when I say it's a Mercedes..

I was quoted for 200$ for the whole bumper to be fixed with those scrapes, i have lots of those but you can't see them unless you underneath and look at them. I would say that will be the fair price or slightly over but i would not even bother because you will get them again and its so hard to color match Merc colors so might be a bad idea to re-paint, so not worth it, ill just wait for it the bumper to fall down and get a new one... 
This used to be bother me from before but eventually i stopped obsessing because i might not like how the color match it and i would end up getting more pissed.

I called more people today and I'm getting quotes in the 300-350 range, which also seems a bit high.
Let's see what else I can come up with!
