Resetting attention assist

I've only had my 2010 e550 for a couple weeks but the little coffee cup light has never turned off. Is there a way to reset or recalibrate this system short of just turning it off?

Has anyone heard of this being a problem before or know of a fix? I have yet to attempt to utilize the cruise control but imagine it would be inactive.

That said if the little illuminated coffee cup should always be on on the dash and it is operating correctly, (no drowsiness detected message or chime has ever come up) than that is great. Forum searches gives some slight conflicting information on the matter.

Thank you in advance!

With the feature activated, the coffee cup will remain lit in your instrument cluster. (as notification that system is active)
Deactivating the feature will make the cup disappear.

Thank you! I assumed as much but didn't want to discover the cruise didn't work as a result on the 1200 miles trip I leave for tomorrow! Thanks again. (Car didn't come with a manual so I've been enjoying the community and past threads here to learn about the new ride)

As BavarianPride said the coffee cup in the dash indicates that this system is ON. You can turn it OFF from the cluster menu if you want. This will not disable your cruise control.

If you get a drowsiness alarm the display will turn red with a text message and audible beebs and also radio volume will go way down. You reset this message/warning with a simple press of the OK button.

Awesome. Interpretations of other people's descriptions threw me off a bit! Thank you all for the clarification!

I appreciate it! Leaving for a 1000+ mile move in a car I only put a hundred miles on I just wanted to be sure before hand. In some posts people posted "what is the coffee cup that just popped up on my cluster." It led me to believe they changed. Nothing and the cup itself is what had appeared and led me to my concern. Car gets some amazing MPGs for what it is! 520 miles on a tank with cruise control set at 81 mph works for me!
