2010 E350 Sport 4Matic sedan

Months ago I wanted a beefier sound so I had the resonator removed (behind cat) and installed two steel pipes in its place. The sound improved slightly but creates a "diesel" sounding effect at idol. I definitely don't love it so now I'm wondering what muffler options are out there that will provide a meaner sound without droning myself stupid...?
