Any body knows a good aftermarket warranty for a 2010 e63 am with 40k on it?
Hello everyone,
Just purchased a 2010 E63 AMG with 40000 miles on it and Mercedes Benz would not directly extend the warranty. I was offered a option at the dealer ship for 10 year 100k bumper to bumper warranty but after looking up the provider on line, lets just say that the reviews were horrible and I decided to pass on the offer
Anyone knows of any solid aftermarket warranty that would extend to 100k miles?

Online reviews of warranties are always bad so you have to take those with a grain of salt. You should check with the service advisors or manager at your local dealer and ask which warranty companies are good to deal with. Mine told me Fidelity and MaxCare (may only be for Carmax purchased cars) were #2 and #3 on their list after the MB ELW/CPO.

+1. If you have doubts still because of the reviews, check with the service dept if you need more assurance. They will tell you how these are to deal with. But logic dictates that the dealer would be angering their own customers if they sold 3rd warranties and didn't go to bat in service to get items covered.
Did the finance rep at the dealer call MB to request an out of warranty exception to purchase the MB ELW? My car was just out of warranty when I purchased it and the rep could not extend the MB ELW to me at first. His manager had him call MB to see if they would allow and they did. Didn't get it, but that's another story.

Thank you all for the info, I'm going to start looking into it.
Ive taken the car to MB for a diagnostic and everything is copacetic so far.
And as we all know the slightest issue with these cars requires serious spending, just trying to avoid being stuck with major bills.My last E55's tranny gave up at close to 100k and without a warranty and had to spend an arm and a leg to fix it.
Not trying to go the same route ever again!

I bought my car from CarMax but as the other contributor stated, it might only be offered if you bought the car from Carmax as they perform a rigorous set of checks on the cars they sell. However, I have since had my car in at MB several times with repairs / replacements that are more than double what I paid for the warranty. Never had a single issue where they pushed back or tried to cut corners with the warranty E.G. of repairs - windows winder motor drivers door (~500), 4Matic suspension system/pump ($2400)....
