Potential Purchase Inquiry
So my brother is dead-set on getting an E350 Sport 4Matic. Are there any specific options or some things to look for? I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to cars but I'm no expert.
I am steering him in the direction of Premium Pkg, Lighting and Navigation. Anything else I missed? He has a GL450 that he purchased and it's missing the TVs (has new born twins too) and Xenons and I can't let him make that mistake again so i'm intervening.

use that above link to configure your options. See what's important to you guys and factor in the cost.

Navigation comes with the Premium pkg. In fact it is pretty hard to find an E class without the premium pkg, he would have to order it. IMO it is pretty much a must have for an E-class.
If he is buying new, they come standard with LED lights, the lighting package adds full LEDs, adaptive lights, cornering lights (just a bulb that turns on when you turn the wheel), and auto high beams. IMO it is overpriced. Don't get me wrong, the full LEDs look great and work wonderfully, but the standard lights are much better than the crappy halogens that they put in the earlier w212s. I suggest a nighttime test drive of one with and one without to compare to see if they are worth the $1.5k
My favorite features are Keyless go and the drivers assistance package. I never thought I would care much about Keyless go, but you really get used to not having to fiddle with keys. Now I have trouble living without the feature on my other car. The drivers assistance pkg is the best feature available if you drive a lot IMO. If you are an around town only type then it is probably not worth the money and the lane tracking pkg is good enough. But on the highway, distronic cruise control along with active blind spot/lane keep is king.

Check out my option packages, I wouldn't live without any of them. I can (and do) parallel park myself, but the 360 cameras have saved my low front bumper from getting broken on the parking lot stops several times AND helps me get through tight parking spots, like my packed garage...a daily used item along with driver assist.

My brother was able to find a 2012 E350 Black/Beige E350 4M Sport with Pano, Premium, Lighting and Keyless Go with 30K miles on it for 29K so he pulled the trigger and it should be shipped to him in 14 days...
Thanks for helping all! Time to find myself a stellar deal like this!
