2012 E350
Service on warranty
First time poster here. I bought a 2012 E350 Bluetec about 6 months ago and need to do an oil change. Will I void my warranty if I have the oil changed at the used car dealership/mechanic where I bought the car? I like them and I don't like the dunning and surveillance I always received on my previous MB from the local MB dealer when it came to service. Thanks for any facts about this.

The standard law in the US with regards to warranties is that you can have it done by anyone or even do it yourself as long as it's documented. Make sure you get a receipt and that they put in the right oil.

What warranty is on the car? if its a 2012 the standard warranty will be expiring very soon if it hasn't already?
As others have said use a MB filter if under warranty (otherwise I have always used Mann as most OEM oil filters are made by them) and document your purchase of the correct spec of oil for your car. 229.51 is easy to find at most parts stores the best price I have found is NAPA Mobil one 0w-30 (5.99 on sale) its a new oil but still meets 229.51 as well as the new 229.52 for the 4 bangers. I am about 4k into my first oil change with that oil.
Putting my MOD hat on you have a w212 so I moved the thread to the proper location.
