Diagnostic Scanner

Just saw this interesting $15 gadget:

https://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-byl...7-f74aff2fb609

Then another:
Amazon.com: BAFX Products - Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool - For check engine light & diagnostics - Android ONLY: Automotive Amazon.com: BAFX Products - Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool - For check engine light & diagnostics - Android ONLY: Automotive

Wonder if these are worth it...

Thanks,

I saw that and wondered if it would work with torque. From the description it appears it does. That may make it worth it as I've heard it's a good app for testing 0-60 times.

Yes it would. The Bluetooth works with Android phones and Torque App. For iPhone, you have to use a WiFi ODBII dongle and there is the Dash Command App.

I know my Dash Command App can do 0-60 times. I also use it for diagnostics on all my cars. It was perfect to check my Jag's coolant temp in real time..

The OBDII scanner will pull out some of these fault codes, Star computer is the proper choice

There's also the X431 Launch Easydiag, around $20 or so on aliexpress and for an extra $40 or so, it can read specific Mercedes codes. Star would be better of course, but the cheapest knockoff Star system is still at least $300+.
