2011 E-350 P2 Cuprite Brown/Chestnut
Another wheel question please
Would you pay $500 to fix the curb rash and powder coat the original wheels back to new or pay $548 for set of brand new aftermarket wheels?
What is the cons of getting the aftermarket wheels?

i'm not sure about any other aftermarket quality. here is what I'm looking at:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251912776600?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
question is to spend the same money and refinish my original wheels or buy above?

$548 for set sounds a little cheap. I would make sure to do your homework before pulling the trigger.
To answer you question... for a little more money, I would go with new.

I would get the original wheel fix, but $500 to fix some curb rash and re power coated? I got my done for $100 and they look like new. Get some other shop to quote again. You can almost get 1 new original wheel for $500. Good luck.

Guys,
I think I like to fix my original wheels instead of buying aftermarket. Please help me make a decision on powder coat color by Monday if possible. I can't make my mind. How do you think black or gun metal look with Cuprite Brown? He also said he can match the car color would that look good? Should I go another color?

Aside from the scratches, do you like the aesthetics/are you happy with the factory wheels appearance? If so, quality is likely higher and I would go for the refinish route. If you do not like the appearance, than consider aftermarket.... Quality will likely be pretty low though at that price point....
I do like them but since I have an opportunity to change color, I was asking for ideas regarding color.

if youre sticking with your stock wheels, too small to have it on a different color.(ie black, gunmetal) go with oem. if your have at least 19", then id suggest gunmetal. imo, nothing but silver would look good with the cuprite brown.

So I decided to keep my original wheels and have them repaired. Since the car is Cuprite Brown, I went with Dark Bronze with CNC Machine cut. I will post pics when I pick it up in couple of days!!!!

Good choice. I was thinking lighter bronze color wheels might compliment a poo colored car, gray might look funny, and I'm not a fan of the black wheel trend.

Getting one wheel ususally is around $120 each.

hmmmmm...your car, your choice.
my 2 cents, shouldve gone silver. that looks like 2 different cars in 1.
