2014 E350 Wagon
"Required" Options

Hello all! I'm thinking of taking the plunge into the MB world by way of an e350 wagon. As I begin to whittle down my options I was hoping for some advice/insight...so with this said, what do you feel are the required options to get with my purchase, what are your must haves?

To be clear, I'm looking at 2014 or 2015 e350's wagons, not a 2016.

2014 E350 Wagon
Thanks! Any thoughts on the multi-contour seat? I love the idea of a "massaging" seat, but I'm wondering if it's more of a marketing up-sell gimmick than anything.

Agreed, and I would add heated seats and back up camera.

On my lists of not quite must have is blind spot assist and navigation.

Going into my purchase I felt like it had to have at least the P1 package. Now if I were to buy again I would want at least that plus lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring. Other stuff is a nice bonus but not on the 'must have' list for me.
I'm sure opinions will vary for what people think is most important

love mine, but that requires the leather upgrade (with includes ventilated seats) I think which might be harder to find on an E350, not sure about wagon though. Seems to be common on the E550.

If you do a lot of highway driving, folks with distronic seem to love it. Heck folks love it for stop and go traffic to.

everyone may be different, but if it were ME, these are what I would HAVE to have:
Premium Package (rear view camera, heated seats, etc)
KEYLESS-GO Package
Parking Assist Package
Lane Tracking Package

Would HIGHLY prefer:
Lighting Package
Driver Assistance Package

MB-Tex vs Leather is what and what...I think that it's more mental than anything unless you have the upgraded nappa. Can only get ventilated seats with leather, tho. I live in South Louisiana and never felt the NEED for ventilated seats and think my Tex is just as nice as the standard leather. Actually, I can't remember if leather is standard in the wagon or not. It may be...it is in the E400...

PS I think that wagons are AWESOME, but they're more rare than people think...

2014 E350 Wagon
Ended up with a wagon that had nearly everything, and I must say I really don't know what my favorite option is, but here are my top 4:

1) Driver Assistance Package-Adaptive Cruise w/ Steering Assist-This is almost scary how the car can basically drive itself for short periods of time. I've found it to make highway driving nearly mindless, and even stop and go traffic much less stressful.

2) LED lighting package-Really didn't think this would be as good as it is, but with the automatic high/low feature you don't even have to worry about if your brights are on. Also, the way that the lights lead you around corners is pretty cool, it's subtle, but it makes it a huge difference.

3) Parking Assist-Holy crap is this cool for parallel parking. If you want to scare your friends this is the option to do it.

4) Premium 1 Package-The HK stereo is worth this upgrade alone. Crystal clear at whatever volume you want to rock it at, could use a little more bass, but all-in-all a solid system. Add in the other features of this package and you have the best $/$ option available IMO.

2014 E350 Wagon
WHOOPS-Because once you have it you don't even realize that it is an option, the Keyless Go package is a must have. Makes getting in and out as easy as it gets, the only trick is not letting a passenger/driver exit the vehicle while running, the car will turn off and be stuck (parking lots..etc).

I will say that I did not realize there was no remote start feature until my wife asked about it, I just assumed a MB would have this as a feature. My only disappointment with the car.

everything listed above, minus the vented seats. Just didn't get enough airflow from those I tested to make the plunge for those. I added those above plus rear aig bags, just to keep all occupants surrounded by air bags ... even though I rarely have anyone in the back. Oogle through my options listings ... that is what I custom ordered with mine.

I also wish there was more flow from the vented seats or that you felt a chill like you do with the systems Infiniti and Cadillac use. However, I still use mine all the time as there is still a difference between using them and not using them. I had a loaner without the feature for a couple of days and didn't think it would matter. All it took was one day of driving my normal routine and I felt the difference after driving a little bit. Sometimes I forget to switch mine on and notice it after 10-15 minutes.

Yes, it is hard to feel any air flow, but you can still feel a difference in comfort and warmth if you are used to it.

2014 E350 Wagon
It's a white wagon, with 3M Crystalline 40 tint (first thing I did), and brown leather interior. Beautiful wagon.
