11 E550 Cabriolet
iPhone connector
Hi Folks,
Hoping someone can assist.
I recently purchased a new MB iPhone connector cable for my MY2011 E550 and iPhone 6+.
When I plug phone into it I get error stating not compatible / certified. Phone does get power as it shows battery is charging. Knowing from past experiences MB hates simple plug and play and most changes needing to somehow be registered to the vehicle I was wondering if any of you have come across this issue and what you've done to correct it.
Haven't contacted dealer yet as I'm hoping to save a trip and a few $$.
Thanks in advance

I think starting with the iPhone 4s, the devices were drawing power at a much higher rate. I was able to purchase a different cable for my 2008 c300 which eliminated those messages. I don't recall the part number though.
