2010 E350 Luxury Sedan, Engine 272 (V6)
My wife and a friend both use it to hold water bottles when we travel. So it is not totally worthless. No moreso than underseat holders, ashtrays, pockets on backs of front seats, door pockets, etc.

This object is right where you lay your left leg at. The underseat holders, the ashtray and pockets on back seat do not effect where you rest a part of your body on long trips. I left the mesh net but the hard strap I took out. I guess my leg is just to sensitive on long trips to have a hard object on it

you will have to pull down kind of hard where the center console is because they snapped the carpet down in one spot about 2 inches up from the bottom of the console near the back part. Do not worry it will just slide up inside once you are done but it will not be snapped in. It is so tight it will not come down. Good luck it should take about 15 to 20 minutes. I pulled the carpet back at the firewall first then worked my way to the back of the console
