help upgrading sound system
Can I keep stock radio and throw an amp and sub on my e350 I was told I needed to buy a 1000$ special amp for my stock radio out is there a way to by pass this problem ? Just recently bought a 13 e350 so I'm a super n00b

You can add a normal amp and sub. Run a line out converter from the wires to the factory sub in the deck lid for signal to an amp... Then pick your amplifier and subwoofer of choice! I'm doing the same thing at the moment! Cheers and good luck!

Lots of threads here on the topic with most upgrading the speakers and amp, believe most are keeping the head unit to maintain as much stock look as possible.
You can easily tap into the stock signal near your current amp location, depending on what amp you get, make sure you run a dedicated heavy gauge power line (like 4 gauge) to power that thing and ground it well.
All speakers easily replaced as well. All depends on how trick you want to get on this stuff. Just don't plop an ugly box in the back that doesn't fit in with the trunk liner and sides.....that's always a tragedy.

Great that's Even better. Do a search for "replace tweeters" and you'll see what others have done. I know RNBRAD has done some nice work that keeps the stock looks of the Mercedes interior.
