Renntech ECU programming question

I'll be picking up my 2012 E550 4M sedan in a couple of days (excited to say the least) and it's still under factory warranty plus I got an extended warranty through Carmax that takes the warranty to 125K (only have 27,500 on the car now). I've read that the power rating from MB is underrated and that the Renntech ECU tune doesn't void the factory warranty. Is this the case? Also, does anyone run this tune from them? Thanks

Yeah a tune will 100% void powertrian warranty, whether it be through renntech or anybody else. Also you are right, the engine is a underrated by quite a bit. From the dyno numbers, the horsepower is almost 440-450 at the crank.

Yep, 100% void...
But with that jaw dropping power...

It really depends on what is the purpose of getting this car at the beginning.

For me, I always wanted a sleeper.
Now, I have it. It is over what I expected. so much power!!
As for warranty, gotta deal with it the hard way, no other choice. fingers crossed.
In return, its just so much fun...driving it everyday.

2012 E350 4-matic
How much time do you have left on the warranty?
Hold out for the warranty to expire and then buy goodies?? the ECU will def. void that warranty.

Shoot, if you accidentally sneezed on the steering wheel controls and they no longer work, that will prob void warranty too. Just sayin ?

I have a 2010 e550 4matic with renntech tune. The person who sold me the car said its pushing 450hp. I didn't believe him because factory is 382hp and I believe the tune kicks it up another 20. Where does the 440-450 come from then?

The guys posting above are right on the money with the warranty. There is a pretty good thread on the AMG private lounge on it with RT

Also check our tune out as well! We make great power and offer a great price point and warranty!

The 2010 has the 5.5 liter naturally aspirated engine, the 2012 model years and up have the 4.7 liter twin turbo v8 that makes 402 HP, but in reality makes alot more.

Ah, yes. I didn't read '2012' in your post. I should get my car on the DYNO.
