TPMS question
I've got steel valve stem caps fused onto my aluminum valve stems 
. Probably need to replace the TPMS module.
There seem to be a lot of TPMS part #s and MHZ operating frequencys being sold for Mercedes. What is the part # that I need for my 2012 E550 it gives the PSI on the dash (if that matters).

Years ago I got some metal caps with a new set of tires. Then read why you should never use metal caps, only plastic.
Even more important now with TPMS where you can actually read the TP's in each tire.
The metal caps will fuse or rust to the metal valve stems.

I knew it could happen to these TPMS, but had good luck for 8 years with the caps/sensors so I pushed my luck. I actually got the offending caps at the dealer when I bought my car in Nov. . . by May 2 were seized. I ordered 2 new Original Mercedes-Benz Tire Pressure Sensor PART# A0009057200 which were $30 each. I won't be using metal caps anymore.

Had a local Les Schwab put them on for me ($73.73 for labor) today.
They told me I have to drive the car at at least 10mph for ~15min for system to learn new sensors. Drove it for like 30 min and the sensors were still showing up as "missing" on the dash display. Figured I took a gamble and lost. Drove home, was there for about 30 min. Decided to go give the "learning process" one more try. Drove around the area for about 15 min, tpms numbers came up and now shows all 4 sensors in working order.
Part supposed to fit the 2010-2012 models. A reviewer on Amazon with a 2011 model also seemed to have success with these.
Figured I'd share, in case you feel like trying them out. Good luck haha
