Hi All-

New convert to MB. Bought a brand new E400 Hybrid yesterday. (Looks like they are being discontinued in 2016) - Any E400 hybrid owners out there? any tips and gotcha in general with this car? (hybrid or no hybrid)

The deal was too good to pass up....

 

Idk if I've ever seen one of these in the wilderness. Looking forward to hearing what experiences you guys have with them.

 

Congrats! Is it a plug in hybrid? I cannot say I have seen one other then on a showroom floor.

 

Not a plug-in - tho i wish (may be i run a fake plug out of the engine bay - since at work you get the closest parking spots as a electric and plug into the wall, haha)
You won't find a lot of them - for a 6K option you get an average 4 mpg better - (24/30 vs 20/26) I think. Not a smart investment for the wallet or for the environment. and they are discontinued for '16. but got a killer deal so....

This car surprisingly will all the bells and whistles - Premium Pkg, Lighting Pkg, Lane Tracking, Parking Assist, Kyless-go, heated seats (why isn't that part of the premium pkg)? split folkd rear seats, and electronic trunk close, but missing features I used to have below...

what other options are missing for the E class? I do miss my old car which had 20-way comfort seats (top half of the seat back reclines independently) and thigh support with nappa leather.
Is heated steering wheel an option? it was on the bimmer I traded in as part of the "winter/cold pkg" with heated seats.

Also I don't have power folding mirrors - is that retrofitable? Love to have that feature (tight garage door if I park in the onesie). Just did a little search, not quite sure if it can be accomplished.
