Dreaded CEL with stuttered acceleration
Sunday night randomly the check engine light came on literally within 5 minutes of leaving the house. I was pulling out of local gas station in fact and as soon as light came on then the car was stuttering (jolting slightly) whenever I tried to accelerate. I figured maybe it's nothing or some bad gas, so I waited until the morning and same thing. Since it's my DD, I made my way to work and went to a shop on lunch.
They said it was showing a misfire code. So I got an oil change ($130) while I was there (it was overdue but not greatly) and made my way home with same stuttering. So this morning I took it to STS since it's very close to my crib and they're open 7 days a week in addition I love their customer service at my local shop.
Long story short I had to get all 8 Plugs, 2 Air Filters and coils replaced. They checked all filters and fluids and topped off whatever was needed. It was only $700. I'm not sure if I was over charged since I was so worried that it was a major problem that I gladly paid that. They reset my Service B Due light as well. I assume I don't need service B now since I got everything that's pretty much included and is this reasonable pricing?
FYI my E550 is nearing 100k miles so this seems to be all standard stuff I would've needed around this time. Thx

Seems reasonable to me... the dealer near me told me it would run around $600 or so just to have spark plugs changed, so for $700 I think either you got a good price or I got quoted a high price.

The receipt says 25 per Plug. Also it says 2 ignition coils replaced at $99 each. and I see they gave me one of the air filters for free. I believe he said that he didn't quote me that I needed two so it's was only right to give it for free.
