Probably a simple question - but how do you know if you have an E350 w212, w211, or any other designation? My book only says E350, and all associating paperwork just says E350W. Please don't make me feel dumb!

One question on the Wiki article - It shows that the 2016 - onward cars are W213's. If the 2016 E350 is nearly the same as the 2015, and the 2015 is a W212, doesn't that mean that the 2016 is still a W212?
I thought that in general, the W213 car starts with the 2017's.

That's wikipedia for you. The W213 will be when they launch the new model. At one point it was probably speculated for 2016.

first batch normally comes out a few months before actual release. just like there are 2002 w210 and w211 and 2009 w211 and w212. so I reckon there will be 2016 w212 and w213.

Who knows? I just know that the upcoming W213 is one of the reasons I chose to buy now to get the W212. I just didn't like what I saw in the early pictures.
Maybe by the time I'm ready for another new one, I'll grow into it. . .
