Steering Wheel Leather Cracks
Hello,
I have a 2014 E350 that recently started developing small cracks in the leather portion of the steering wheel. A few times a year I put Lexol leather cleaner on the sides. Aside from that I never touch the areas where the cracks started to form.
I still have a few years of warranty left. Is this something worth pursuing with the dealer?
Photo below, it's somewhat hard to see the area in question. It's right above the volume controls to the right.

It coud be from chemicals from you hands , like aftershave lotion ,perfumes or acid swetty hands . I saw a doctors steering whell and it was looking destroyed for a low mileage car , its because doctors clean very often they hands with alcohol .

Would ask dealer to replace. If not possible try Sonax leather foam. Moisturizes and cleans steering wheel in one step. Use once every week or two. Easier than Lexol.
