^^ I can confirm. My neighbor has a 2014 and the clear part you are referencing is just a void. No visible LEDs for amber like the aftermarket ones I have. His turn signal is the brake lights. I believe the turn signals for the euro W212 facelifts are in the clear area with amber.

Thanks.
I was referring to the people who modded their tail lights. I know that my car does not have functioning amber LEDs. It's just a plastic piece with holes in it instead of LEDs....Cost cutting in a luxury car? ......sic.
I was wondering if those people who modded their tail lights (in US) were able to operate their amber turn signal lights as intended.

Talking

He has the exact aftermarket tail lights installed.

Here's a pic with the hazards on so you know how the turn signals look.

I'm thinking about ordering these and I'm a little reluctant on just how bright the led brake and turn signals are. If you could post a pic of the LED brake lights on during the day? Or the blinkers? I just know a lot of aftermarket led tails are not the brightest like OEM tails are. Thanks!

Thanks for this! I'll definitely grab a pair in the summer when it's warm out and I have garage space to work on this

Bumping this. Anyone else run these yet? Have a specific trusted eBay ad to purchase from?

Can you send over the specific eBay link that you purchased from? I have my eye on this seller / set I linked below, if you have any input that would be great before I order a set. From what I have seen, I believe there are only one, maybe two, manufacturers of these and they all seem to be of pretty good quality!

When I bought them they were not available in the states. So I bought mine from overseas. The lights are Eagle Eyes from Taiwan. Therefore, if you buy them here, they are the same.

How's the fitment on these tail lights? I remember the fitment was "ok" when I had my w204 and replaced my headlights with aftermarket ones.

Fitment is decent for aftermarket lights.....of course anything oem fits like a glove. No major gaps....looks good next to the real lights.

Makes sense. I know I said the pre facelift ones were better looking but since now I'm keeping my w212 for a couple more years I may consider this mod!

So i was wondering how the taillights from the original buyers are holding up? Seems these units are pretty solid

I purchased a set of these taillights from ebay and I keep getting error messages for both left and right taillights, I plugged everything correctly. This might sound weird but the same day that I installed the taillights after driving around and getting the error code my car just died when I turned it off, I had to tow it and took it to an independent mechanic, he fixed it and gave me a new key and told me that there was some programming done to the module of the key (not sure what they did) and that they that I had did not worked anymore. Thing is that now is starting to fail again to fire up and I'm worried that it is something related to the taillights as they keep showing error codes (even though they work flawlessly) Do you guys think there is any resemblance to the car failing due to the taillights???

Could you guys give me original sellers name, since links dont work now. The reason I am asking is because I now see a lot of sellers seeling similiar lights for much less. And I think these might be different quality and brand lights. Like this for example:

It's funny...when I first read the title of this thread, I assumed it meant retrofitting facelifted HEADlights on the 2010-2013 models. I immediately thought: "how in the heck are they gonna do that; the hood and bumper are completely different." LOL---and then I saw that is for taillights.

W212 Pre-facelift E300 AMG sport package
Has anyone tried these front HEAD LIGHTS???
The description and the seller claims they are compatible with pre facelift. You just need to buy bumper, hood, and grill as well. They are aftermartket by the way.

SO, noone tried those yet???

These can be used to convert prefacelift to facelift model if you also change front bumper, hood, and grill.

To me, it looks like a disaster.

Not only will you have to change your bumper, hood, and grille...but for what benefit? REAL facelift E-classes have LED headlights (and Full LED lights with the Lighting Pkg). This "upgrade kit" only gives you xenon lighting, which is technology from 1996. I don't think it is worth it to get such a minimal gain in function. If you only want xenon lighting, why not just get the OEM lights for your MY car and retrofit?

Besides, the title in the description seems sketchy. It lists these as fitting a "2009-2012". We all know that 2009 was last year for W211; and W212 pre-facelift extended to 2013.
If they can't even get the chassis # and years correct, imagine what the quality of the lights will be like?

Actually 2009-2012 mean year models. So that is correct. The 212 pre-facelift was 2009-2012 year model. Also, they have complete body kit:

including headlights and taillights.
