Is there a transmission override in the 7 speed transmission? I am thinking of a situation where the battery is dead and one needs to put the car in neutral to get it onto the flatbed.

There's a battery dedicated to that function located in the dash. No manual over ride that I know of. It's a total "by wire" system.

Nice to know, is there a battery warning when that battery runs low?

Yes. The only reason I know is several people on this forum have received the warning and wondered where the battery is located. I don't think getting the warning is an emergency to worry about though. It's a back up battery to get it into park only for when your main battery dies. If they both die I'm pretty sure a jumper hook up would work to get it into park.....anyone know for sure? Does anyone know what happens when your battery is so dead it won't even unlock the doors?
