Help please -- side mirror replacement on 2014 E350 Wagon
Clipped my passenger side mirror while pulling out of my garage this evening. Housing is cracked and mirror is broken. Been searching for replacement parts but can't seem to find the right parts -- it has the blind spot assist.
Any assistance on part numbers, source or DIY instructions would be greatly appreciated. Anyone know approximate cost if I were to bring this to the dealer for repair/relacement?

Did you try epcnet? It's free if you're in the US, just requires a credit card to register. Should tell you what part you need once you punch in the VIN.

Also for manuals, everything is electronic these days. You can get a knock off of the MB WIS DVD on ebay for around $10. Or you can sign up at $19 for a day to download as many pdfs from MB's startek website.

Many years ago, I damaged outside mirror on a Ford. Went to junk yard and they ordered me one from a junk car through their national system. Had to get it painted by a paint shop, but all in all far cheaper than getting the dealer to do it or purchasing a new one.
Of course, it was a Ford and even though had heated & remote mirrors, I'm sure it was much simpler than on an MB.
Was still working when I sold the car 5 or 6 years later.

Just drilling down through the menu, those parts look expensive. Seems like you can just buy the cover and mirror separately instead of the entire assembly. The problem with a 2014 or the W212 is that it's relatively new so places like rockauto which carries the assembly for a W211, doesn't carry it for the W212 yet. You could also try a junkyard part at car-part.com, they do list a few, they seem to start at $525 and go up to $1000. You may want to consider claiming it on your insurance but your rates may go up.
