Fuel gauge or fuel sender failure

Guys,

My first problem with my car, yesterday after driving about 700 miles my fuel gauge stopped working. Everything else is fine. Gauge is on E and no error light. Only other thing I notice is that it also wont show me distance to empty. I think its the fuel sender. Anyone else experience this? Any ideas on price? I have a aftermarket warranty, I wonder if it would be covered.

Have you made any mods recently?

Fuel gauge is working again. Took a day or so but starting working. I did call the warranty company (Route 66) and they said all the fuel components are covered i.e. gauge, sender, etc. If it happens again I will get it fixed.

Im surprised no one else had the same issue.
