I look at all the MB dealers in my area for coupons or discounts. The dealer I bought from honors any dealers coupon in our area. Worth the few minute search on the web

The bozos in the parts Dept at my dealer have never heard of a coupon from MBUSA. They all seem to think that the coupon arrived from another planet. They claim that that coupon is probably only for service (where as it clearly states service OR accessories). Now they are waiting for someone higher up to decide if they even participate in this program. What crap !!!

The dealer finally seem to agree that the coupon is valid for parts purchases. I asked for the AMG/ steel door pins hoping to add something to make up to $200, but now they are saying the steels door pins are not available from MB dealers for ordering. They don't care what the website says. Is this true?

Thanks guys for all the help. May be I should just get some splash guards (my dealer has it in stock) and call it a day. Since I don't have any problem with the chrome door cups, I might take up on rediesel's offer as well

Today I recd a token $25 off coupon from my local stealer. It expires on Jan 31, so they gave me a whopping 22 days to use it. It's still a nice gesture, but it pales in comparison to the big boy discount.
I'm going to get my navi updated, which is now ~4yrs old. I'm going to try to buy the CD(s) and not just get it upgraded. I'm betting they'll give me the run around on that!

@JohnnyRad when you get done updating your nav are you planning on selling the CD(s)? Maybe we can get a group together to do a group buy and everyone pitches in to purchase then whoever gets the CD would send it to the next guy in the group and so-on, so-forth. Just an idea

One stealer won't sell me the discs and says they have to perform the update in-house with a PIN over the course of ~2-3 hours. Cost: $300
The other stealer will sell me the discs with a PIN, but says I gotta have my car connected to a charger since it can't be running (doubt that part), can't be moving and can't be stopped midway or else. Cost: $250 either in-house or selling me the discs.
Regardless, I'm going to do one or the other and take it in the shorts for ~$300.

Age old question: does the PIN allow one or multiple uses???
The DVD is "dumb." It won't know if the PIN has been used before. The car would have to communicate with the mothership for it to be a "one and done" deal. Right?!

Navigation update BQ6460334 released 12/15 requires VIN specific PIN (license key), approximate normal installation 47-100 minutes varies due to the size of the map data and the model year of the vehicle. Renewals on previously generated activation codes are free of charge. The activation code should be written onto the DVD or the cover there may be some circumstances where it would be needed in the future. Anticipated next release tentatively June 2016.
