Correct Power Steering Fluid
Hello All, i posted this over in the coupe forum but it doesn't seem like anyone knows the answer. (2011 E550 coupe)
When asking local auto parts stores they are telling me to use "Pentosin CHF 11S" to fill up the power steering reservoir. Can anyone confirm this is the correct fluid? i only ask because the owners manual says to use an " Approved ATF" which would lead me to believe it would be non synthetic? Anyone knowledgeable on the topic feel free to chime in. Thank you!

topped off with the pentosin last night and on a cold start this morning the grinding is gone, Steering felt much tighter on the drive to work this morning. Filled to the max line on the meter attached to the cap.

Reservoir location on 2011 Coupe 550
Can you tell me where the reservoir is located for the power steering. I also have a 2011 coupe and I am getting a whining noise when turning. Would like to first check fluid level. Thanks!

Check here to see if vehicle is included in recall 2010100002 high pressure steering line pump connection may cause fluid loss: https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/recall + confirm by having dealer check VMI.

FYI
Found out that this version of pentosin CHF 201 is old stuff and has been replaced by the newer version CHF 202.
It says they are fully compatible, the same green color.
More info about it is welcome to make a right decision.
