Firmware update needed or not?
I'm planning on updating my navi to the latest 2015/2016 version (Europe). As far as I know the navi has never been updated before and it's running version 4 from 2010/2011. I'd like to know if it's necessary to go by a Mercedes dealership to update the firmware. I'm asking this because I've read that when you don't update the navi regularly, you will probably need to get the firmware updated. Don't know if it's still true because the topics I found were from 2007/2008.
I haven't received the DVD's yet, they should be coming in somewhere next week but I'd like to prep everything so I can just install the update without worrying to much about everything else.
