2012 COMAND update or upgrades
I have done lots of reading regarding the NGT4.5 system in my 2012 E63. I have a gen 1 (yellow & brown color scheme). It appears you can somehow update the firmware from a NGT4.5 gen1 to a gen2, but no one specifically states how/where this is done.
Is this something that the dealer can do? I am still under factory warranty and would love to have this done as I like the black/silver color scheme much better than the current one I have.
My second question, is it possible to purchase the NGT4.5 gen3 parts and install them into my 2012? (doubt it, but thought i'd ask)

I talked to http://www.comand.co.uk/index.php/home and they said they can convert my Gen 1 NGT4.5 to a Gen 3 for £1900 ($2700 USD).
But they have to have the car there to do the conversion because "We cannot offer the upgrade to gen3 outside the UK as it requires specific coding in the vehicle on line to Mercedes in Germany."
This leads me to believe that it's possible.... Any ideas what is involved?
