Continually impressed...2012 E550

I am storing my car for the winter up here in Canada (Thornton, Ont.) and we had a wonderful +5C degree day about two weeks ago....soooo....

I started my E550 in the garage and let it warmup with the notion that as soon as I started to smell the fumes I would stop polishing and take it out of the garage and put it out on the driveway so I didnt get "CO" gassed!

Well, 5mins went by and no smell....nothing. I do realize that Carbon monoxide is ordorless - but still no wierd smells at all.

THIS CAR BURNS CLEAN.

impressed.

Be careful my friend..this seems sort of risky. I've read some horror stories with this sort of thing.

You are lucky to be alive. As you said, you would never smell the fumes. Many people die every year from CO poisoning.

I think every year someone puts a generator in the garage in the winter and when they open the garage, they just pass out right away and die from co poisoning and don't even have a chance to make it out the door.

I did have the garage doors (both) open at the time....and YES, very real danger!!! Thanks for the replys guys...appreciate it. Learning a lot from this forum - just got the MB E550 in the fall. About to do air filters and oil change in the spring :-)

cheers.

OH - also impressed with the headlights - automatic head lights are very helpful as night time driving is getting crazy with all the LED and HID bright lights. The auto dim feature saves on coming traffic and then goes bright whens it is safe. Love this feature.
