I have this feature on my coupe and sedan and havent seen one in action (definitely not seen it on my cars when im driving) anywhere but on this video of a W211.

how hard do you have to step on the brakes and how fast should you be goin to activate this feature?

i saw a WRX with an add on (i reckon) brake light on the bottom of the bumper (about 4in x 6in) that flashes everytime he steps on the brakes no matter what the speed was. thought it was cool especially here with a lot of tailgaters.

It has to be a panic stop - but - is that feature legal (activated) in your country?

Read somewhere that your merc has to be travelling at least 70km/h and then brake hard to get it activated. With motorist down here, wish its at least 50km/h.

Not sure about legallity i may have to look it up. Although its not a blinding blinking light but it caught my attention as a motorist. There was a lane between me and that WRX but i looked when i saw it, i guess thats the bad side, although it would definitely be usefull if somebody was behind him tailgating.
